Forever disappointed with how the Modern Combat series turned out. I know it's free, but it launched for a price same as it's predecessors, and unfortunately, offers nothing that they do. Modern Combat was a fun little FPS series for handheld devices, but MC5 (it used to be called Blackout, but since BO4's release it seems to have dropped its name.) is just a hungry cash grab. MC3 and 4 had a proper mission select system similar to BF and CoD. The mission select system is similar to Candy Crush and those freemium games which is a complete turn off in a fps. It's not a long campaign, it's actually really damn short, but the game relies on an energy bar and goddamn ads every thirty seconds. It's been in my backlog for that long and it's probably never going to be finished. The single-player is so stale and dry to the point that I've been trying to finish it for 5 years now. The multiplayer is so pathetic, it's essentially pay-to-win. I unfortunately bought it a week before it went free-to-play, and even now it's still broken as fuck. It is the fifth installment of the Modern Combat series and the sequel to Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. Can't believe this originally launched as a full priced game on the App Store and Google Play. Modern Combat 5, also known as Modern Combat 5: Blackout is a 2014 first-person shooter developed by Gameloft Bucharest and published by Gameloft.
